Filling in the mint details and what each field means
The mint details allow you to personalize your NFT that will live on the blockchain and to give details about your unique AUDIO NFT owned and created by you.
The Track Type field allows you to choose what type of Audio NFT you are creating, and places in that category.
Beat: For audio files and recordings that can be used as a backing track for a vocalist to record on top of. A great choice for beat makers to earn royalties with analytics of track usage and distribution.
Fundraiser: Select this type if you are using your Audio NFT to generate and collect funds for any legitimate purpose. It may be to fund your own project, your local community, a good cause you are passionate about, etc.
Meme: Use this track type for any kind of Meme audio. It could be your take on a meme that's trending at the moment, or you could create your own audio meme!
Song: Use this category for tracks with vocals accompanied by any instrumental track.
Sound FX: Used for any kind of sound effects or sound bytes containing, musical or non-musical audible sounds. For example, a hummingbird, typewriter, applause, baby crying, etc..
Vocal: A musical vocal performance in the absence of any other musical instrument.
Speech: Category for spoken word, conversation, poem reading, debate, opinions, ideas, jokes, confessions, your child's first words, etc,.
Track Stems: Used for a musical arrangement of a single or a group of instruments to create a full track. For example, a percussion track that features drums only at a particular tempo, a bass track with a tempo and key, a synth track with tempo and key. Other users will be able to use your track stems to build their own track by paying you royalties to use the stems you publish. Hence the importance of the Key and Tempo fields.
Soundkit: This type is used for sound samples that can be used to generate instruments. For example, a series of drum hits including, kick, snare, hi-hat, toms, or various 808 bass samples, samples of nature sounds, etc,.
Other: This type is for everything else that doesn’t fit into any of the previous categories.
The Track Title field is to give your NFT a name. You can call your track whatever you want. Take some time in coming up with a catchy track name.
The Artist Name field is used to give your NFTs producer a name and allows searching all NFTs by artist name. You can use any artist name you like per NFT but keeping the same name allows you to get recognition and a following.
The Description field allows you to describe your NFTs and can be any details of the track, purpose, inspiration, etc,. If your track is a Beat type you can give track sections info such as 4 bars Intro, 8 bars Verse 1, 8 bars Chorus / Hook, etc,. This field scrolls as the first field of your NFT so try and be as informative about your track as possible to help people discover your track.
The Website field allows you to link your NFT to any website or URL. This can be a YouTube video, your personal website, or a business website. Please make sure to include http:// or https:// in the field. Use this field to your advantage, to drive traffic to your website or cause of your NFT.
The Genre field allows you to give your track a Genre. It could also be a hybrid genre or something totally new! If your track is not musical or is spoken word or sound effects you should specify it in the Genre field.
The Key field is where you specify the key for example ‘A Minor’. If you are unsure of the key or your audio recording is a spoken word or sound effect you can write NA in this field.
Tempo field allows you to specify the tempo of your recording in BPM (Beats Per Minute). Please specify 0 if your recording is spoken word or a sound effect.
